ARTHUR LEE CONGER

Grants Pass resident Arthur “Art” Conger, 86 passed away on November 16, 2020 at The Lodge at Countryside Village after a brave battle with cancer.

Art was born August 14, 1934 in Grants Pass. He graduated from Grants Pass High in 1952 and went on to enlist in the United States Navy. He was married to Carol Kelly on November 13, 1956. They raised one daughter, Pamala. Art provided over 40 years of service to his Country, serving in the United States Navy, Veteran’s Administration and the United States Army.

After living a majority of their life in California, Art and Carol returned to their hometown of Grants Pass to retire in the late 1990s. Art loved serving his community and was a former President of the Kiwanis Club and enjoyed providing service to his church, River Valley Community Church. Art truly enjoyed the game of golf and spent many hours at Dutcher Creek Golf Course.

At the time of his passing, Art was survived by his wife, Carol; daughter, Pam Trotter; granddaughters, Cody Lynn and Samantha Anne. A tentative Memorial Service is scheduled at 11:00am on Saturday January 23, 2021 at the River Valley Community Church.
