Cheri Lynch (82) of Grants Pass, died on October 6, 2025 at her home in Grants Pass, Oregon.
A graveside service will be held on October 17, 2025 at 11:00am in the Veteran's Section of Hillcrest Memorial Park in Grants Pass, Oregon.
The ninth of ten children, Cheri was born on April 15, 1943 in Upton, Wyoming to Robert and Frances Rhodes. The family moved to Grants Pass in 1946.
After graduation from Grants Pass High School in June 1961, she immediately enlisted in the US Navy. She attended boot camp in Maryland and was stationed in Corpus Christi, TX and Memphis, TN. She was honorably discharged in 1964 after her marriage in 1963.
She is the mother of three sons.
She was employed in capacitor manufacturing, Collector Arts sales and finally was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Royal Gardens in Grants Pass.
She has a collection of approximately 4,000 panda bears of all sizes. She also enjoyed reading, sewing, and gardening. After retirement, she sewed Go-Bags for Foster Care, fleece blankets for several assistance agencies, and baby blankets and quilts for new mothers and several child assistance agencies.
She was a member of The Church of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include three sons, Launey (Christina), Larry (Tonie), and Lenard (Nan), seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, four sisters, Faye Paine, Gwenyth Williams, Betty Glenn, and Betsy Sealy, and four brothers, Milton, Robert, Daniel, and Thomas Rhodes.
