Craig J. Catterall

Craig J. Catterall, of Grants Pass, went home to be with the Lord Jesus on April 22, 2023 after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Craig was born July 29,1950 in McMinnville, OR to James and Patricia Catterall. Having lived in various places while growing up, he had fond memories of several; Pendleton, OR and Sebastopol, Woodland and Modesto, Ca.

He graduated from Fresno State University in 1976 with a degree in Ornamental Horticulture. He met his wife, Jeanne, in Fresno and they were married in 1974 and had two children.

Craig managed a wholesale nursery in Auburn, WA for nearly ten years before purchasing Sandy's Nursery in Grants Pass in 1986. He and Jeanne operated the nursery where, among other things, he enjoyed raising flowers for the many hanging baskets and color bowls they designed and sold each year. He also ran a Landscape business for many years, transforming and beautifying many homes in the area. His hobbies and interests included fishing, camping, trips to the coast, baseball, picnics and barbecuing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, Annabelle.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne; his daughter Carrie and granddaughter Annabelle of Cave Junction; his son Colin of Leggett, CA; and his sister Connie Michael and brother Chris Catterall of Carmichael, CA.

A Celebration of Life will be held on his birthday at a location to be later determined. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Hospital or a charity of your choice.
