Edna Sue Spivey (Keele), 74 of Gardnerville, Nevada passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at her daughter's home in Carson City, Nevada.
Born June 02, 1945, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 17th, 2019, to finally arrive home with the Lord. She resided in Gardnerville NV.
Edna Was born in Clarkston MO. She grew up and went to school in Whittier CA. She was in the center of her 10 sisters and brothers. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry S. Keele, Her mother, Cora Bell Keele, and her siblings Dugon, Cludy, Karla, Alice, and Bethel.
She received her Bachelor of Christian Counselling from Southern Bible Institute and seminary in 2008.
Edna was a church builder with her husband Larry. They built sanctuaries and church facilities for generations to have a place to worship Jesus Christ as they loved and pastored the people there. All of which are still being used for places of worship. In Partnership with her husband, Edna built in Lincoln NE, Boise ID, Fairfield CA and a current facility in process, Great Life Church, in Gardnerville NV. She was a witness and testimony of God's favor and goodness towards those who know and love Him.
Edna was creative, happy, and always found a reason to smile. She was charming and energetic. Always keeping her home and office in tip-top condition. She was a stable and integrous force in her family's life. A great advisor and even better listener. Edna knew how to work harder than anyone, but she also knew how to relax. She loved fishing and camping, movies, gardening, baking, and especially the music of all kinds. She always had new ideas and clever ways of making things work. She was kind to everyone and she left her mark on this earth through her fifty-plus years of service in ministry. Always done with a big beautiful smile.
Edna Spivey-beloved wife, mother, nana, sister, friend, servant leader and woman of God- will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Larry Spivey, daughters Nancy Jo Spivey and Susan Dean Berger. Son in law Charlie Berger, grandchildren Raven Ehmory Wilson, Trey Dean Morris Wilson, Kyman Chaz Berger, Teagan Cruz Berger, Makez Duran Berger & Rezsia Noelle Berger. Brothers Keith Keele, Kemmy Keele, Kenneth Keele and sister, Phyllis Armstrong. Multiple nieces and nephews.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE service, open to all friends and family will be held at Valley Christian Fellowship, Minden Nevada. Located at 1681 Lucerne St. Minden, Nevada 89423 on Saturday, July 27th, 2019 at 12:00 noon. Food will be served.
