Edwin Allen Stout

Edwin Allen Stout passed away May 13, 2020 at his home. He was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming, on June 6, 1938 to Jesse Ivan Stout and Lillian Ruth (Tyler) Stout. In 1957, he graduated from Grants Pass High School. On December 4, 1960, he married Marva Ruth Weaver and was married over 59 years. He leaves his son, Kenneth Allen Stout of Madras, Oregon, and daughter, Jana Kay Evans of Grants Pass, Oregon. In 1961 he began college at Southern Oregon State College to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in education. He had a special love for children and treated them with gentleness and kindness. After having spent 8 years in the elementary school of Jerome Prairie, he went back to teach 6th grade for 6 years. Previously, he had taught in Klamath Falls for one year. He then decided to go into business for himself and built a mini warehouse which he operated for 27 years.

He loved the outdoors. Fishing, hiking, and camping were favorites and all sports but especially football.

He is survived by his wife Marva, son Ken, and daughter Jana, six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. His father and mother preceded him in death.

There will be a family graveside service May 23, 2020 at 1:30pm at the Woodville Cemetery in Rogue River, Oregon.
