Ellen Marie Reed-Oels-Hawkins, 82, of Hazelton, Idaho, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025. She was born in Hazelton, Idaho, and lived a life full of love, faith, and service to others.

Ellen married Lloyd Edgar Oels on December 5, 1949, and together they raised two children. The family later settled in Macdoel, California, where Ellen owned and operated a small café, creating a warm and welcoming space for her community.

A devoted Christian, Ellen was an active member of RedRock Cowboy Christian Church. She was also involved in Northridge Assisted Living and was a member of the Fireballs social group before relocating to Rogue River. Ellen loved crafts and games and was known for her joyful spirit and creativity.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Oels; daughter, Dana Bailey; sister, Karen Reed; brother, Jim Reed; and grandchildren Michelle Owen and Christina Townsend.

Her light will live on through her beloved family and friends.
