Ellen was such a gift to all of us who knew her! She truly lived her faith with passion and energy, and was able to find joy in each day of her life and shared that joy with everyone. Whenever she heard of a need or saw someone struggling, Ellen was the first to step up to help. She was compassionate, thoughtful and so full of love. Ellen was amazingly strong in every aspect of her life, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We'll miss her smiling, joyful face, her always positive attitude, and her unlimited energy. She was definitely one of a kind, and I'm so grateful I knew her.

I miss my wonderful sister Ellen. I think about her every day. I recall Ellen's later years. She was so kind, compassionate, understanding and giving. I was so happy for her when she found her love of Jesus, found a wonderful friend in Ruth, found a wonderful home and friends in Grants Pass, OR. When I had a difficult time in my life, she was very supportive. She called often to just listen to me, to hear me cry, to offer support and words of wisdom. I miss her wonderful chocolate chips cookies. (Yum!) Memories comfort, love lives on forever. And, to quote Gandi, "There are no good-byes. Wherever you will be, you will be in my heart." I love you big sister.
