Helen "Marcy" Burman

Helen Marcalou "Marcy" Burman went home to be her Lord and Savior December 25, 2025 at her home in Grants Pass, Oregon at the age of 82. Marcy was born on January 12, 1943 in Dallas, Texas to William Morris and Vera Webb. She was the youngest of nine children. She graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas, Texas in 1960 and enrolled in Tennessee Temple College in Chattanooga, Tennessee graduating in 1964 with a B. A. degree. It was there she met her husband, Steve Burman and they were married in 1964. They have two sons and a daughter.

Steve became a minister of the Gospel and they served together in three churches over a span of 57 years. They moved to Grants Pass in February of 1990 where Steve served as pastor of Faith Baptist Church more than 29 years.  

Marcy was known for her gracious spirit and a heart that loved to serve others. Steve and Marcy traveled to twelve countries to encourage the missionaries that their church supported. Marcy loved reading, especially biographies of great Christian men and women. She loved to plant flowers in the spring but her greatest joy was doting on her children, grandchildren and great grandson.

Marcy is survived by Steve Burman, her husband of 61 years, two sons, Brad Burman of Broomfield CO, Doug Burman of Grants Pass, OR, one daughter Renee' Wiley of Medford OR, Six grandchildren and one great grandson. She is also survived by her brother, Bill Webb of Mineola, TX. A celebration of her life will be held on January 10, 2025 at the Faith Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m.
