Herbert Faszer, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, passed away on October 1, 2026, at the age of 100. Herb was born on July 31, 1926, on a farm outside of Hilda, Saskatchewan, Canada. He grew up in a family of ten children, where life revolved around family, hard work, and faith. At the age of 16, Herb left home to begin working while continuing his education and finishing high school.

Their first four children were born in Canada before the family moved to Grants Pass, Oregon, in 1961. Their fifth child was born in Grants Pass. It was here that Herb would leave a lasting mark on the community he came to call home. Herb was a home builder constructing many homes throughout Grants Pass along with his brother Walter and his sons Dwight and Dwayne.

Herb loved and served God faithfully. He was a church board member, Sunday school teacher, church ladies' softball coach. He also loved missions and was involved in orphanage work in several countries.

Herb found joy in staying active. He played with the Relics softball team, woodworking, skiing, playing games, and spending time with his family.

Herb was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Phyllis; his son, Dwight; three brothers; and 4 sisters.

He is survived by his son, Dwayne Faszer; daughters Donna Bishop, Dynell Kamprud, and Debbie Friedel; sister Helen Kirsch; brother Alan Faszer; 18 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
