Janice Lorraine Lotts
August 23, 1941 — November 26, 2019
Janice Lorraine Lotts (Pratt)- loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother - age 78, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019 in the comfort of her home in Grants Pass, Oregon.
Janice was born on August 23, 1941 in San Luis Obispo, California to Willard and Mildred Pratt. In 1958 at 17 years old, Janice graduated from San Luis Obispo High School, hopped on a Greyhound bus and moved to Santa Cruz, CA. This is where she met the love of her life and best friend H. Willis Lotts. They married on November 5, 1960 in the San Fernando Foursquare Church and celebrated 59 wonderful years together.
Over the years, Janice worked for the Santa Cruz School District, County Bank of Santa Cruz, and Lotts Inc. In 1999 Janice and Willis moved from Scotts Valley, California to Grants Pass, Oregon where they spent the past 20 years. Janice enjoyed singing, playing the piano, sewing, quilting, and traveling. She and Willis spent many happy years traveling in their motorhome with the Beaver Ambassador Club, where Janice served as the “First Ladyâ€. She was famous for her many beaver collectibles. Janice was an active church member throughout her life, serving as a Sunday School Teacher, Pianist and Church Treasurer. She loved Jesus with all her heart. Most recently, Janice attended Merlin Community Baptist Church in Merlin, Oregon, where she loved singing and playing the piano during worship services.
In addition to her husband H. Willis Lotts of Grants Pass, OR, Janice is survived by her two children: Tammy West (Dave) of Grants Pass, OR, and Ron Lotts (Karla) of Scotts Valley, CA; five grandchildren: Ashley West of Grants Pass; Tim Lotts (Carly) of Scotts Valley, CA; Natalie Anderson (Travis) of Mebane, NC; Miranda Lotts of Scotts Valley, CA; and Dan Lotts (Traci) of Bonny Doon, CA; Great Grandson Peter Lotts of Scotts Valley, CA, with one more on the way!
Janice was preceded in death by her parents Willard & Mildred Pratt, Brother David Pratt, and her Father-in-law & Mother-in-law Bill & Mildred Lotts.
A celebration of Janice's life will be held at Merlin Community Baptist Church in Merlin, Oregon on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at 4:00 PM.
