Jerold Morey

September 14, 1931 — January 1, 2018

Jerold (Jerry) Eugene Morey age 86 died at home in Grants Pass, Oregon on January 1, 2018 after a long battle with throat cancer. Jerry is a veteran of the Korean War where he serviced proudly and earned an Army occupation medal Japan, a Korean service medal with two bronze service stars and a combat infantry badge. He is survived by his daughter Shelley Husen of Grants Pass and a son from Sacramento. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Jeremy Waddell, Samantha and Nicolaus Morey and a brother John Baker all from California. After retirement from the trucking industry where he drove for over 40 years, he went on to work for Haggin Oaks golf course where he played everyday rain or shine. Jerry loved billiards and captained two pool leagues, one at the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 225 and one at the VFW Post 1267 both located in Sacramento, California. Jerry reached the pinnacle of his life when he moved to Oregon with his daughter Shelley where he was able to achieve his lifelong dream of a workshop and man cave. Although the time in Oregon was short the family and friendships he made will last a lifetime.
