My family lived down the street from the Hoovers when John and I were in high school. He was always a gentleman and respected me as a friend. We even went to a dance together once, just as friends. I spent a lot of time at the Hoover home after school - his mom shopped at Price Club and there was always great after school munchies that John was happy to share (sorry, Mrs. Hoover!!). I'm really sad to hear I'll never get to reconnect with him. Love to his family. I hope you are comforted by these memories. Sincerely, Chandra Faulkner...former neighbor on Tribune Street.

John was my best friend. He was the most loyal human being I've ever known. You would always try and make me see the positive in every negative situation. He had a smile that would light up a room. And a great sense of humor. He could always cheer me up. I'll miss him more than words can say. I'll miss his hugs. I know I'll always have our memories to carry in my heart.
