Jurlene "Geri" LaRue Enslow

September 30, 1938 — November 10, 2022

Jurlene “Geri” LaRue Enslow was born on September 30, 1938 in Coffeyville, Kansas, to Paul Shapland and Katherine Calvert. She married Tommy La Verne Enslow on October 5, 1958 in Lakewood, California. Tom and Geri eventually moved to Grants Pass, and had four children together.
Geri worked for the US Department of the Interior, and also for the Forest Service. She instilled a love for the outdoors in her children by raising various farm animals with them, for personal enjoyment and also as their 4-H horse leader. Geri also loved to sew, knit, crochet, and make quilts for family and friends. Her daughters remember their upbringing as idyllic, and their parents as perfect for each other.
Geri passed away at her home in Grants Pass on November 10, 2022, and is survived by her three daughters, Julie, Lori, son-in-law Randy, and Sally; five grandchildren, Michael, Stephanie, Anthony, Tyler, and Selinda; and nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Sr.; son, Tommy Jr; and son-in-law, Shawn Ramsey. All three served in the Armed Forces.
Tom and Geri will be interred together at Eagle Point National Cemetery in Eagle Point, Oregon.
