Lawrence âLarryâ Ray Webb, 77, fell into sleep with Jesus, on Thursday, July 30th, 2020,at Highland House Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center in Grants Pass, Oregon, after a brave battle against vascular dementia.
Larry was born in Woodburn, Oregon, to Helen Arletta Carr Webb. He became a respiratory practitioner after his stint in the Army during the Viet Nam Era (he was a medic, greeting the incoming returning planes from Viet Nam). Industrious, he pioneered oxygen applications in various Veterans Administration hospitals; redesigning and simplifying the process. An avid classic car lover, he went on to become an entrepreneur, starting and operating several different businesses.
He loved our Lord Jesus Christ, and was always looking for opportunity to share His love ⦠whether sharing a book called Steps To Christ, or wearing one of his many Christ-centered ballcaps (his favorite read âHooked on Jesusâ, with a big fish hook on it!), or through the courtesies of holding a door for someone, or giving someone a genuine complement especially if they looked down.
He dearly loved his children, son Andy and daughter Moniec; and his one regret was in not being closer to them.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Nancy (Wilson) Webb; son Andy (Lora) Webb and granddaughter Ashley; daughter Moniec Hayden and sons Milo & Miles, as well as sisters Carolyn (& Terry) Morse of Alaska, and Cheryl (& Dennis) Moreno of Marcola, Oregon; Nick (& Shawna) Stephens of North Bend, Oregon and Phil (& Vickie) Stephens of Grants Pass, Oregon.
And the numerous and well-loved aunts & uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews; he loved you all. His heart-felt prayer was that he would one day soon join everyone in heaven when Jesus returns to earth for us.
Larryâs wishes were that he be cremated, and that his ashes be scattered in the Pacific Ocean. A private scattering will be arranged at a later date.
Larryâs Celebration of Life has been scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 2:00 pm.
It will be held at the Pleasant Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church ⦠35549 Zephyr Way ⦠Pleasant Hill, Oregon 97455. All are welcome to come.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Childrenâs Research Hospital are appreciated.
This is a non-profit that was close to Larryâs heart.
