Nicholas Martin Calabro (43) of Grants Pass, Oregon passed away peacefully at his home on May 21, 2022. He was born in Palo Alto, California on January 20, 1979 to Peter and Susan. Nicholas grew up along the West Coast and made his way north, first in Moss Beach, California, then Rogue River, Oregon, before settling down in Grants Pass. He spent his elementary school years at Half Moon Bay Elementary, attended Rogue Middle School, and went to Rogue River High before obtaining his GED from John Adams High School.
Nicholas was a cub scout as a child, which led him to a love of the outdoors and the many activities available, including auto racing, off-roading, boating, fishing, BMX racing, and camping. Nicholas was employed most recently in the tree service industry and as an auto parts delivery driver.
Nicholas is survived by his father, Peter Calabro; stepmother, Victoria Calabro; mother, Susan Loper; stepfather, Robert Loper; brothers, Tim and Brian (Melissa) Calabro; nephews, Payton and Gabriel Calabro; and long-time caregiver, Mary Vaotuua. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Pete and Margaret Calabro and Bill and June Brugger.
