Patrick Purvis

Patrick Purvis passed away at his home in Grants Pass, Oregon on Tuesday May 10. Pat is predeceased by his parents, George and Evelyn Purvis, and his brother George Purvis Jr. Pat is survived by his wife Betty, his sisters, Donna Evelyn Purvis and Nancy Creighton Poe (K. Barry Poe), his children Sarah Evelyn Purvis Petersen (Scott Petersen), Hannah Rebecca Purvis and George Patrick Purvis, and grandchildren Mary Evelyn Petersen, Scott Patrick Taylor Petersen and Caleb Baxter Purvis-Lisk. Pat is also survived by niece Virginia Poe Christopher and grand-nephews Solomon and Inman. He is lovingly remembered by Rebecca Neilson Hamilton, mother of their children. Pat was born in Fredericksburg, VA. He attended Fayetteville High School, Graham Eckes High School, Palm Beach, FL, and Fayetteville Tech. He worked for his father in the family business, Lafayette Ford and Patrick Ford. He enjoyed traveling, music, cooking, antiquing, car collecting & trading. Spending time with family and friends was most dear to him. He created a rescue haven for caring and placement of dogs and cats. A memorial service will be held at 1 o'clock, Saturday, June 11 at Salem United Methodist Church, Eastover, North Carolina. Family will receive friends immediately following the service.
