Pauline Robinson Garman

May 11, 1937 — June 2, 2021

Pauline Robinson Garman, beloved wife of Albert Garman (Al) for 56 years, passed away peacefully at home on June 2, 2021, in Grants Pass, Oregon. Pauline was born May 11, 1937, In Los Angeles, California.

In the early 70s, Pauline and Al moved their family to Templeton, CA from the Los Angeles area. Pauline worked as a typesetter for many years at Ennis Business Forms in Paso Robles, CA. In 1992, after raising a family and retiring, they relocated to Grants Pass, Oregon. They built a beautiful home on property in the forest, where Pauline immediately began developing several flower gardens that became the envy of many. She loved being surrounded by greenery, nature and a wide variety of flowering plants, shrubs and trees.

Pauline was known for her love of family, her cheerful personality, carefree spirit and witty sarcasm. She loved to have get-togethers with family and friends for BBQs and camping. Pauline had many varied interests including ceramic painting, writing hilarious off-color poems, crocheting, stained glass, quilting, restoring VWs and her number one love - gardening. Pauline often referred to herself as a jack of all trades and master of none but that is not necessarily true. Pauline continually received compliments on her workmanship in regard to her gardening, crocheting, painting and stained glass. She sent her colorful poems to select family members during the holidays to bring on the holiday cheer and one of them ended up being published in a biker magazine. Because of her laid back, joyful demeanor, her crazy sense of humor and her ability to resolve any problem that arose with her ingenious "fixer" thinking, Pauline was literally the glue that held everyone and everything together. She was larger than life and our planet has lost one of the good ones.

Pauline is preceded in death by her son Michael Garman, son Jerry Garman, mother, Dorothy Robinson, father, Forrest Robinson, brother, Fred Robinson, sister, Rita Kesterman and brother-in-law, Robert Kesterman.

Pauline is survived by her husband, Al Garman of Grants Pass, OR, her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Andrew Andrade of Grants Pass, OR, granddaughter, Kelli Collins (Mick) of Germantown, MD, grandson, Michael Andrade of Grants Pass, OR, granddaughter, Charlee Andrade of White City, OR, great grandson, Daniel Andrade of White City, OR, sister, Barbara Howe of Grass Valley, CA, nieces and nephews, Earl Van Fleet (Kasharin) of Thailand, Doree Elam (Dan) of Atascadero, CA, Jim Van Fleet (Renee) of Torrance, CA, Wally Van Fleet of Paso Robles, CA, Sandi Boriak of Templeton, CA and Jody Barvick of Sierra Vista, AZ.

A celebration of life will be held in Pauline's memory at her home in Grants Pass, OR at a future date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Wounded Warriors Project and when the mood strikes you, crack open a beer and listen to lots of John Fogerty in remembrance of her.
