Rachel Ann Dahl

Rachel A. Dahl, 79, passed away at home on March 9, 2021 in Grants Pass, Oregon. The youngest of 9 children, she was born on October 14, 1941 to Leonard and Esther Strasburg. She grew up in Central City, Nebraska. After high school graduation, she married Richard A. Dahl and moved to South Dakota. They had two children, Michael and Sheri, and spent the next 35 years in the Black Hills. Rachel moved to Oregon and spent the rest of her life in the Grants Pass area.

She was proceded in death by her parents, and 6 siblings Joyce Stewart, Jack Strasburg, Joan Smith, James Strasburg, Lois Pullins, and Eleanor Douglas. Survivors are her long-time companion, Noble Kauhane of Grants Pass, OR, son Michael (Irina) of Beaverton, OR, daughter Sheri (Frank) Hauk of Keystone, SD, granddaughter Halley Colgan, great-grandson Danny Colgan of Keystone, SD, and sisters Cleo Skinner of Hordville, NE and Katherine Bardsley of Grants Pass, OR.

A private family memorial will be conducted at a later date to scatter her ashes near the Rogue River.
