Ronald Craig Wilson, 76, of Grants Pass, OR, passed away February 28, 2021, at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center. Born May 3, 1944, to Earl and Mildred in Albany, CA. Ron moved to Grants Pass in 1945 and graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1962. In November of 1962 he married Sharon Slaughter.
Ron worked in the hop fields and was a logger. In 1966 he joined Operating Engineers 701, working in construction as a heavy equipment operator and foreman for many jobs until he retired. He worked all over the Rogue Valley and many other Oregon locations, including Brookings for the last 20 years.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, white water rafting, and visiting Pottsville on Father's Day weekend.
He is survived by his wife of 58+ years, Sharon; daughter, Christina; sons, Ronald and Thomas; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl & Mildred Wilson; youngest son, Robert; and 2 great-grandsons, Gavin and Hudson.
A memorial service will be held at the Grants Pass Reinhart Volunteer Park, Bank of America Shelter, June 19, 2021, from 12 to 3 PM. Arrangements by Stephens Family Chapel.
