Sharon Ann Grotts

September 4, 1938 — February 23, 2021

Sharon A. Grotts

Born in Santa Rosa, Sharon grew up in San Carlos and attended grade school at Center and High School at Carlmont. She met the love of her life Bill during her Junior year of High School a marriage that would last 63 years. She learned to tap dance at the age of 10 and would carry her life to teach tap dance and aerobics for over 20 years. She taught tap dance from ages 5 to 90 and aerobics from 10 and up also. Sharon loved kids and teaching them to dance while parents would say "We can't figure out how teacher Sharon always got our kids to listen" She was known as "Teacher Sharon" to all her students and she taught at San Carlos Recreation Center. Her uncanny ability and warm attitude toward all her students made her a favorite with all who met her. She and her husband Bill moved to Grants Pass in 1999 to care for Bills ailing Mom and Dad. They soon joined Western Welcome newcomers and began to make friends there. These friendships have endured for many years. Sharon is survived by her Husband Bill, Her Daughter Starlyn, Her Grandchildren Chad Gilmore, Mandy Grotts, Brian Grotts, Cody Calhoun, and her Great Granddaughter Nakayla Grotts.

I wish to extend my thanks to Asante hospice for your caring, kindness and understanding during these trying times
