Shirley Jean Boring, 84 of Grants Pass passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass.
Shirley was born on October 29, 1934 in Des Moines, Iowa to Herbert and Rachel McDonald. When she was very young her parents along with her brother Herb moved to California. On July 4th, 1952 she married George Boring together they had three children. In later years after her husband passed away she moved to Las Vegas and then Oregon.
For most of her life she worked in Hospitality and food service as a bar maid in California waiting tables, kitchen worker at the hospital in Las Vegas. Shirley enjoyed dance, playing cards, knitting, and volunteering at ROC.
Survivors include her son Paul Boring; two daughters, Dayna Baker and Linda Bucholtz; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
