Thomas David Anderson

January 29, 1951 — April 16, 2022

On Saturday, April 16, 2022, Thomas David Anderson, loving husband, exceptional father, giving grandfather, and caring son and brother, went to be with Jesus in Paradise at the age of 71. Tom passed on after an epic and courageous 10-year battle with multiple myeloma cancer; which he fought and fought to be able to spend additional time with those he loved.

Tom was born January 29, 1951, in Palo Alto, CA to parents Charles and Joan Anderson. After 3 ó years in the Army, Tom began his banking career at Bank of America in the San Francisco bay area, which led to him meeting his wife of 48 years, Caryn, a match truly made in Heaven, whom he married on September 1, 1973. Tom and Caryn relocated to Rogue River, OR in 1978 as Tom worked for Valley of the Rogue Bank (VRB) in a number of executive positions for 20 years, before transitioning to PremierWest Bank across multiple executive positions for 10 years. Tom then finished his career working for a good friend's company, Brotherton Pipeline, as it's CFO.

After moving to Oregon, Tom and Caryn had three children, Scott, Regina, and Michelle. Tom was very involved in the local Rogue River community, coaching youth sports teams, leading the booster club, involved in the school board and other service groups.

In addition to golfing with friends, Tom's greatest passion was supporting his local grandsons at sporting events to cheer them on. With true 'Tom' determination, he attended his last youth basketball game exactly a week before his passing.

Tom is survived by his loving wife Caryn Anderson, his son and daughter-in-law Scott & Heather Anderson, grandsons Cannon and Cooper, his daughter Regina Smith, grandchildren Gabe, Savannah, Eli, Chloe, and Declan, daughter Michelle Anderson, grandchildren Makiah, Zoey, and Izack, father Charles Anderson, sister Kathryn (Carl) Tresser, and numerous nieces and nephews. Passing before Tom were his mother Joan Anderson, brother Ed Anderson, and sister Jane Clark.
