Tracy L. Ray
Tracy died suddenly on October 17, 2026 in Wilderville, Oregon. Tracy was a mother, a grandmother, an aunt, a great aunt, a partner, and a sister. She was independent, strong, creative, and passionate. She spoke up for herself and those around her, especially when she saw an 'underdog'. She was 'a big personality in a small package.'
During her lifetime, Tracy created many beautiful pieces of art with fabric, including quilts, wall art, and lamp shades. She had a green thumb and could make anything grow. Throughout her life she struggled with several health issues, which increasingly impacted her quality of life. In her later years, some of her greatest joys were found at home, watching her beloved kitties play from the comfort of her chair.
Tracy was born on October 7, 1957 in Newport, Oregon to Barbara June and Roger E. Ray. She was the middle child of five. She is survived by her partner, John, her two daughters, Vanessa and Tia, their husbands Sean and Kyle, two grandkids, Lucas and Alice, and three siblings, Marci, Robin, and Diane. She will be laid to rest in City View Cemetery in Salem, Oregon near her beloved mother, Barbara, and her brother, Dirk. Details about the service will be shared when they are available.
